Become a licensed Needs-Focused™ trainer.

 

Needs-Focused™ training courses are very effective (see feedback comments below). The Licensed Trainer Program is a three-day train-the-trainer program designed for professional trainers, educators, and consultants who are experienced in training groups of adults. Completing one of our Licensed Trainer programs enables you to provide 1 and 2 day Needs-Focused™ courses and workshops to teachers and other school staff.

 

Courses

Course 1:  Needs-Focused™ Classroom Management. This course can be delivered in either a 1 day (6 hour) or 2 day format.

 

Course 2: Needs-Focused™ Motivation – Motivating the Unmotivated This course can be delivered in either a 1 day (6 hour) or 2 day format.

 

Course 3: Needs-Focused™ Lesson Activities For Special Schools, Units and PRUs. This course can be delivered in either a ½  day (3 hour) or 1 day (6 hour) format.

 

(Currently Licensed trainer-training only available for Course 1)

 

The training includes:
3-day hands-on, practical training

Background to the Needs-Focused™ philosophy for preventing and responding to behaviour problems in school

PowerPoint presentation to teach participants the Needs-Focused™ approach
Comprehensive trainer manual including presentation notes, activity instructions and briefings

Ongoing support

Regular program updates and support materials

 

Licensed Trainer Program Costs

The accommodation package includes:

 

• All meals and snacks

 

• Coffee, tea and soft drinks

 

• 3 night’s hotel accommodation

 

Training takes place in Keswick, the heart of the English Lake District

 

Trainer Attributes:

Participants on our courses need a trainer who can empathise with the high levels of stress and frustration associated with working with difficult and vulnerable students. For this reason we ask that anyone considering becoming a Needs-Focused™ licensed trainer has the following experience and qualifications:

 

Essential:

Teaching qualification (Or relevant similar qualification)

Minimum 7 years teaching, training or youth work experience

Knowledge of education system in UK (or home country)

Excellent communication and presentation skills

 

Desirable:

Experience in working with young people with emotional, behavioural or social difficulties

Management experience within school

Additional relevant qualifications – e.g. psychology
